Brilliant Product
I use a lot of Minky products and they’ve all been quality. Recently we bought a couple of clothes airers from Home Bargains and they’ve been really poor. The legs were easily broke and the build quality was generally poor. I’ve lost count of the amount of times we’ve bought these clothes airers and they’ve just crumpled. My partner thought I was crazy paying £29.99 for a clothes airer, but you get what you pay for. This airer by Minky is of exceptional build quality, it’s sturdy and has a number of different ways you can erect the airer in order to dry clothes. It even has a flat drying area for delicate clothes or items. It has 2 very nice clamp kind of features for drying socks and the corners flip out so you can hang out underwear (if that’s what you like to do) or other items.I’ve only received this today, but I’m really impressed so far and I can honestly find nothing negative to say about it. It’s worth the money and the amount of clothes you can dry compared to a normal airer is amazing. Just a point to note that the image displayed showed the airer with wheels, but the airer that I received didn’t have wheels, but I prefer that anyway.

Tons of drying apace
I bought this to replace my old clothes dryer which had wings that you fixed between the bars. These sometimes collapsed when knocked or if you tried to reposition the dryer. This one is so much better, it has lots more drying space and seems much sturdier, it folds up neatly and I am able to wheel it straight into my store cupboard thanks to the wheels which you can fix if wanted, It unfolds so easily like a concertina and I can load all my wet washing onto it straight from the machine and then wheel it into the position I choose. There’s no collapsing of wings, it can be moved easily and holds a lot of washing. I do have a large laundry room but this would work in smaller spaces too as it can be moved around easily. I would recommend this dryer.

Clothes airer
Came without packaging. Cellophane around was torn and two rungs were bent. Overall love the design but rungs are very thin, not sure how robust it will be long term.

It’s okay – will do the job.
This product is adequate. It’s large, but folds into a compact shape. If you have lots of shirts, the hang space is ideal. Its main flaw is construction. The metal used is cheap. The plastics are cheap, it looks and feels cheap! The wires used to hang the clothes and flimsy and look like they will bend in a light breeze. The only other flaw is it is too narrow. It won’t even allow a large t-shirt to sit on it without being scrunched up a bit.If you are willing to overlook these issues, it is good for the price.

Solid airer
It is tad expensive, but very high quality. The metal feels solid, although it’s also heavier than ones found in supermarket.

Good airer but has a design flaw that means it will likely break over time
This is a good dryer / airer that appears well designed: it folds away well, holds a good amount of washing and is easily manoeuvrable. However, there is a design flaw that puts stress on a weak joint that fails over time. The whole drier pivots around the point circled red in my image. When it opens or closed, a lot of stress is focussed on that point. When clothes are loaded on the outer ends of the airer, stress is focussed on that point. However, it is not strengthened like other joints on this airer. Instead the pivot point is created where one of the thin horizontal drying struts seats into a hole in one of the thin tubes that run along the edge of the airer. The thin tube bends and flexes around this pivot point, gradually weaking it until it cracks and fails. I’ve posted an image of mine after it failed after around a year’s occasional use. If this design flaw were fixed it would be a great dryer, as it is I will replace mine with a different model. It’s a shame as other Minky products I have are well designed and last.

JE SUIS ENCHANTEE DE CE SECHE LINGE. GRANDE CAPACITE POUR ACCUEILLIR BEAUCOUP DE LINGE. AVEC LES COTES QUI SE RELEVENT FINI LES DRAPS QUI TRAINENT PARTERRE. TRES ASTUCIEUX AUSSI LE FILET QUI PERMET DE METTRE UN PULL A PLAT. TRES FONCTIONNEL ET TRES PRATIQUE. DE PLUS PLIE ILPREND TRES PEU DE PLACE. VRAIMENT RAVIE

My last clothes drying rack often collapsed under weight of wet clothes and came apart easily, it was too much work to open and close it so we kept it open all the time totally defeating the purpose of having a collapsable drying rack. We finally decided to upgrade our lives and came upon this Minky model which, thus far (about a month) is absolutely great. We live in a small apartment and we do laundry multiple times per week, we only machine dry for ten minutes and then hang the wash load on this rack. It is incredibly easy to open, and you can choose how you want the arms/wings to be positioned (if you have less space, you may want them at an angle, more and you can put them flat.) I recommend buying the one with the most drying space. There are some neat extra features i.e. sweater drying rack (which can be used for anything actually) retractable arms at all four corners which allow for additional three or more hangars in addition to the three spaces on the rack itself, very handy (just be careful to fold them back when you are collapsing the rack, I had a run in with one I didn’t notice was still open!) There is a sock hanging thingie that I used once but I haven’t since, it’s just as easy to drape socks over one of the Roda, but nice to have this option if you are more patient than I am. It collapses in seconds and while I saw another reviewer say that she/he couldn’t store it since it didn’t have rubber legs to stand upright, I have honestly not had this issue, I simply lean it against a wall at a very slight angle and it stays put. It takes up far less room than my last one but handles as many if not more clothes and is very sturdy. In summary, I am not one who enjoys doing laundry so I want to get the chore done quickly, with this rack I’m in and out in no time and can move on to other important chores like writing too long Amazon reviews!
