Seems to be a well made replacement for our old one.
This was purchased to replace an old one weâve had for a number of years. We use ours a lot during the winter, and to replace a like for like one we had before from Dunhelm was just £4 cheaper than this one… This looked ideal and is more substantial than the old one. Itâs just as easy to fit, but you will probably need to adjust the lines before use, but again this is a simple task.

Flat dwellers dream
As I live in a top floor flat and therefore furthest away from the communal garden I invested in one of these lines about 20 years ago. I have been very pleased with the concept for all those years. It holds a full load, and as I have a large bathroom, have it running the length of the room above the radiator, so the washing dries overnight! Downside – a bit fiddly to fix initially but for the amount of use I have out of it, the initial effort is worth it, just requires patience! Also I have to replace it every couple of years as the plastic bar splits in the middle (the reason I’ve not awarded 5 stars). I suppose that’s partly my fault as I hang heavy jeans, towels etc on it, again worth the small inconvenience and beats having an unsightly clothes airer. I have recommended it to a few friends.

Collapsed immediately!
First of all, donât bother with the supplied plugs. They are way too small.Iâve never come across a clothes line that only screws on one side. The bracket on the lift is not sufficient to hold the line up.So I hung my clothes on the first three inner lines, no problems then went to have linen on front two lines, the whole thing collapsed.Line sagged and came away from wall.I wish I hadnât thrown the box ð¤¦ââï¸

Bad screws and plugs. Strings are not even so some sag. Flakey lock and release.If I hadn’t binned the box already it would have been sent back

Great use of space
I bought this to replace the same item that had been in use for many, many years. It is in our utility room and we use it most of the year to dry our washing (when we cannot use an outside line). The five lines takes loads of washing and the unit is neat and tidy.The hooks and plastic bar that attach it when extended are poor and the bar broke on my last one after some years of use. I have made a wooden batten that screws to the wall to clamp the lines which does the job.I cannot get excited about a washing line but if you need something indoors then this does the job.

I bought this product 25 years ago and when the rewind mechanism broke — after 25 years — I wad lucky yo find it again on Amazon.ca.The 5 lines easily handle a room 13 feet wide. Panty hose, lingerie and tops that must be dried flat easily stretch out across the 5 lines to air dry quickly.
