The original and best!
These are the original and still the best designed peg. Unlike plastic pages which deteriorate in the sun and break, these remain solid after years of use, are strong and hold your washing firmly to the line. These pegs are a good size and are easy to handle, not like smaller pegs so pegging out the washing is speeded up. You also get a good amount, so are excellent value for money. What more can be said, they work!

These pegs split! Not good quality
I’ve had these type of pegs many times. They have always been perfect. These ones however are not! As you push them into the clothes line, they split!! They are very rough on the inside which catches on fabric making them almost impossible to push onto clothes to hang. Any items thicker than a t-shirt or underwear, such as track suit fabric, anything textured like jumpers etc, the pegs just split and break. Others I have of this style did not do this. No way are these pegs made from hardwood!! They are not fit for purpose and I’m very disappointed.

Okay, but won’t last very long
They are okay for the price, being cheaper than the usual ones (two pieces of wood held together with a spring). Unfortunately about 12 have split and are now useless, glad I bought two packs. They are not as strong as the ones my mother bought from a gypsy in the 1950’s, which lasted until the 90’s when I threw them away as being too old fashioned. Wish I’d kept them now.

I used these to make clothespin angel ornaments. The quality was surprisingly good – in the past, I have to toss out several from other packs because they were too flawed to use. These clothespins have very minor flaws (if any) and were all usable for my crafting purposes.
